I went to the farmer's market at lunch break today and fell in love with these orange beauties I think I will try to grow them next year. The farmer lady called them baby bells. They are sweet peppers - almost too cute to eat, don't you think?

Last week when I was admiring the bright green of my carrots that I started from seeds, I noticed that the orange of the root was poking out. I figured it must be time to harvest them. So I gently pulled one out of the ground to be surprised by this crazy thing. Has anyone ever seen anything like this? My husband thinks that since this is the first time we used that ground for garden, maybe the ground wasn't soft enough for the roots to poke deep? Anyways, we mercilessly ate this crazy thing and the taste was pretty good :)
