Thank you Beth

I met Beth through her comment on a blog. I fell in love with the way she writes - I was telling my husband that Beth writes like I write in my dreams. If you are not familiar with her work, please check her out at Beth Kephart Books . Beth is also a dancer. She recently had a contest on her blog to define what dance is. I also entered and guess what? I am one of the winners !!!! Check out all the entries here . We received the book and I feel so special holding this book signed by the author. My daughter and I are fighting over the possession of the book. I think it would be a joint custody at this point. Thank you Beth. My daughter and I just love you :)

Time to recharge your batteries

Put your palms up to the sun Turn your face up Close your eyes Soak in the heat Enjoy the saffron light Dancing behind your eyelids Close your palms Let your blood carry the heat Singing All the way to your heart Spring is here Happy Spring all

something to ponder upon

The following two quotes have been stuck in my thoughts this whole week, so I thought I would share them with you. Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings. ~ Victor Hugo Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ~ Mark Twain

Happy Birthday Meghana

Dear Meghana, Around this time 13 years ago, we were caught in the beltway rush hour trying to make it the Holy Cross Hospital. I was doubling with pain every time a contraction came and I was afraid that I will deliver you on the shoulder of I-95. But you took your own sweet time and didn't come till 7:17 that evening. When I got to the hospital, and was all hooked up, one of the nurses commented that the heart beat looks like its a boy. I wanted my first born to be a girl - My wish came true. You were 4 weeks early. You didn't cry when you were born. They whisked you away to NICU. I had 101 fever so I wasn't allowed in NICU. I had a sleepless night and didn't get to hold you till the next day. You were so tiny that I was afraid to hold you. I can't believe 13 years have passed. It feels like yesterday. Happy Birthday Sweetheart - wish you happiness always. love, Mom
