I usually don't read chick lits and have been known to pooh, pooh chick lits - but man o man - I just love "Can you keep a Secret" by Sophie Kinsella - I mean I don't remember when was the last time a book made me laugh out loud. This is the second time I am listening to it on CD and it is absolutely hilarious - especially listening to it being narrated. Highly recommended. Check it out here .

Do you all know about "find a penny, pick it up and all day long you have good luck"? Me and my daughters are strong believer of that and always pick up the pennies along the way if we find them - but you see they have to be right side up otherwise it doesn't work. So, if I see a penny and it is not heads, then I just leave it. As my daughter was getting out of the car this morning, see spotted a penny on the curb, but alas, it was wrong side up. Instead of leaving it alone like I usually do, she flipped it and left it there. I was blown by this simple act of kindness for a stranger. She couldn't get the luck from the penny, but she made sure that the next person spotting the penny will. Why haven't I ever thought of that? (penny image from here )
